Product Details

The blade is forged from manganese steel, heat-treated to 60 HRC, and finished with hand-hammered grooves that run along the edge in an organic, irregular pattern. These grooves create a distinctive visual texture - each mark slightly different from the next - while reducing overall weight without compromising the 12.5-inch nagasa's structural rigidity. The chrome-finish surface catches light against the dark hammered valleys, giving the steel a layered, almost geological character.;

The 6.3-inch tsuka is built on a hardwood core with white polyurethane leather samegawa underneath a dark blue ito wrap tied in a traditional diamond pattern. The full tang runs the entire length of the handle, secured for stability. In hand, the grip feels balanced and firm, with the textured samegawa preventing any shift beneath the cord wrap.

A black alloy tsuba sits between blade and handle in a simple round profile. The minimalist design keeps the eye moving from the polished steel into the dark handle assembly without interruption - no ornate relief work, just a clean, functional guard that complements the sword's monochromatic palette.

The black hardwood saya is finished in piano lacquer and wrapped entirely in black PU leather with a fine crosshatch texture. A brass-tone floral ring fitting sits near the mouth of the scabbard, adding a warm metallic accent against the otherwise all-black exterior. The 13-inch saya provides snug protection for the blade while maintaining the cohesive dark aesthetic. This style pairs well with pieces from the Black And Red Katana collection for display variety.

At 41 inches overall and 4 lbs, this full tang Japanese sword delivers a grounded, substantial presence on any wall mount or stand. From the hammered steel to the leather-wrapped saya, every component works within a focused black-and-chrome color scheme that keeps the craftsmanship front and center.

The processing took a while, and some of the black coloring came off when I wiped the blade. But overall it was a great purchase!

Order arrived very quickly. The sword looks great and will go great with my cosplay. My only complaints with it are:

1. the top of the blade has some black smudgy subsistence that comes off very easily and looks unevenly applied.

2. The scabbard is held together by a cheap vinyl/plastic cover that has moved around is now slightly off centered.

For being not one of their quality and pricey offerings it is a good katana. It will look great for my Chainsaw Man cosplay. Would order another better one for display.

TrueKatana Team, I'm very happy with this blade for the most part. The only shortfall was the blackened side of the blade. The color was inconsistent across the surface of the blade, and a lot of it came off once I wiped the blade with a dry cloth (the cloth turned black). I would've rated it five stars otherwise. The blade itself was superior! Very straight and sharp. The craftsmanship and quality of the handle and scabbard were also outstanding. No noticeable flaws at all. Overall, great job! I would recommend you to anyone looking for a similar blade. Thank you.

It was almost perfect of a katana but its a little stiff when I pull the katana out the sheath, also the coloring on the backside of the blade is a little smuggy but besides those two things the katana is great!

I’m very pleased with this product. The sword is very well made. I’m really impressed by the people who work at Truekatana. The first sword I ordered got banged up in shipping. This was not caused by the way it was packaged. I received a replacement sword immediately and the people were super nice. I will definitely use this sight again.

This katana was dope asf. I didn’t know, how sharp it was but I put it through some test and it did perfect. Like they say this thing is battle ready, sharp as a razor. I’m getting a whetstone to make it sharper. But this thing for the price is amazing, I’m going to get another one

4 Stars because they never gave me a tracking number when it gotta shipped out. Had to contact them to receive it. Not trying to be picky.. I understand there’s a lot of delays due to Covid but still I have high expectations for stuff like this. Other than that the sword is amazing I love it! Would definitely order here again if I can get my tracking number right away when it’s shipped.
