This is the best true quality katana I've ever bought in and I am super impressed. I have bought in the cosplay unsharpened swords and they are not even the same animal these swords feel like what you would really bring into battle hundreds of years ago. I bought the three Zorro sword combo and absolutely loved it. One of the saya, sheath, scabbard, whatever you want to call it, came cracked. After a couple emails they had another saya on the way free of charge and truly hassle free. Thank you for good craftsmanship and excellent customer service.
I got this as an anniversary gift for my husband, and he was ecstatic! His younger self came out and it was so cute to see. Don’t over think it, just get it. Such beautiful craftsmanship, and I loved how it was packed with so much care. Also, I received it in 3 days! Awesome turn around time.
The katana is looking very, as the photos described it. It came well packaged, protected and the blade was oiled. Customer support was very good and the the responses were prompt, especially since I was ordering for Germany. There were some issues with customization, but these were handled by customer support.
I spent some real time with this sword rather than just unboxing it, taking a few pictures, and calling that a review.
Visually, it's a very good-looking piece. The blade pattern is attractive without being overdone, the fittings have plenty of detail, and the black wrap over white samegawa gives it a traditional appearance while still having some personality. It's also the kind of sword that gets attention when it's sitting on a table or rack.
My particular example did have some movement between the nakago and tsuka when it arrived. Since I work with blades and fabrication myself, I completely disassembled it rather than guessing about the cause. The tsuka was extremely tight and took some persuasion to remove, but once apart I cleaned and inspected everything, corrected the fit with a small spacer, and reassembled it.
After that adjustment, the sword became rock solid. The blade seats firmly, the fittings are tight, and the movement I initially noticed is gone.
I mention the issue because I think useful reviews should include the things that could be improved, not just praise. I regularly get opportunities to handle blades around other craftsmen, collectors and enthusiasts, and conversations about construction, fit, finish and value naturally come up at gatherings, fairs and similar events. When somebody asks what I think about a sword, I like being able to explain why I like or dislike it rather than simply repeating what's on the product page.
In this case, my biggest criticism is final fit and QC on the example I received. The underlying sword, however, impressed me enough that I was willing to tear it down, correct the problem and put it back into service rather than write it off.
I'd genuinely be interested in seeing how other models from this maker compare. I'm particularly interested in swords I can actually disassemble and inspect, because construction and fit tell me considerably more than an unboxing ever will.
Just got it, This sword has heft, and looks awesome. Sharp enough to cleanly cut through a water bottle. Would absolutely recommend this sword to others

For the price I didn’t expect such a nice sword . I am more then pleased with my purchase and would and probably will buy again. Was delivered in a nice package and the blade came well oiled.
I am very happy with the product that I received. The craftsmanship and hand work done on this most excellent reproduction of a World War II. Cortana is most excellent.
Their swords are beautiful. Blades are sharp handles are pretty good and overall I guess I’m happy with my order. I just bought three swords. One was The Walking Dead remake. I bought one more expensive than that and another one that was cheaper. Altogether about $700 for three swords. The most expensive sword I bought for about $300 although beautiful has a couple of pieces loose. the little brass piece between the handle and the blade and then the butt piece on the handle are very loose. Beautiful but not perfect.

I am very happy and I would order from them again. Just have a few mistakes on the one sword that was the most expensive of my order.
I love my sword! It is decently sharp, since I told the team I wasn't going to be doing much hacking and slashing. One thing I would recommend, if you want your sword as sharp as a decent edge will allow, place your order, AND THEN TELL THE TEAM YOU'D LIKE IT SHARPENED before they ship it. They will do that. (Not recommended for those who are going to hack and slash.)
