Product Details

The blade on this katana is forged from high manganese steel and given a striking blue finish that deepens toward the spine, while a hand-finished wave hamon traces the full length of the cutting edge - a detail clearly visible in the silver-white undulation running from ricasso to tip. The steel is specially treated to reach optimal hardness, balancing structural integrity with the visual drama collectors look for in a Blue Printed Blade Japanese Samurai Sword.

The tsuka is wrapped in navy blue ito laid in the traditional diamond pattern over a white PU samegawa underlay. Menuki fittings in gold-tone alloy punctuate the gaps between the ito rows, adding warmth to the cool blue palette. The full-tang construction ensures the handle assembly stays solid under the weight of this 3.17 lb piece.

A plain white alloy tsuba and matching white habaki create a clean visual break between handle and blade. The circular tsuba profile keeps the koshirae-style aesthetic understated, letting the bold colorwork of the ito and nagasa carry the design.

The saya is crafted from hardwood finished in natural lacquer, presenting a pale teal base speckled with a mottled pattern that suggests aged stone or sea glass. A blue-and-white braided sageo cord is knotted around the kurigata, reinforcing the navy and teal color story established across the entire piece. This Natural Wood Saya Japanese Samurai Sword construction provides solid protection for the blade during display.

At 40.5 in overall length, 1.26 in blade width, and 3.17 lb, this katana sits within standard full-size proportions. Each sword is individually handmade by seasoned swordsmiths, meaning minor variations in hamon line character and lacquer texture are inherent to the process - no two pieces are identical. Note: sword stand or holder is not included.

  • Forged from high manganese steel, the blue-finished blade displays a distinctive wave-pattern hamon along its edge, giving each piece a dramatic visual contrast between the dark spine and polished cutting side.
  • Full-tang construction runs the entire length of the handle, secured with navy blue ito wrapping over white PU samegawa (ray-skin) for a firm, traditional two-hand grip.
  • The teal hardwood saya features a natural lacquer finish with a mottled texture, paired with a blue-and-white sageo cord knotted at the mouth for an eye-catching color combination.
  • A plain white alloy tsuba with matching white habaki separates handle and blade, keeping the accessory palette clean against the bold navy and teal color scheme.
  • Overall length 40.5 in, blade width 1.26 in, weight 3.17 lb - proportions consistent with a full-size katana replica suited for display or koshirae-style collection.
  • Each piece is individually handcrafted by experienced swordsmiths, so minor variations in hamon pattern and lacquer texture make every sword one-of-a-kind. Sword stand not included.

Beautiful piece. I actually thought my son was a little crazy for wanting one for Christmas but it is really a piece of art. From the blue flames on the blade, to the carved animals on the handle and pummel. It Is stunning.
