Damascus Steel Katana with Engraved Orange Lacquer Saya - Dragon Tsuba, Black Tsuka

The blade of this katana is forged from pattern-welded damascus steel, producing the layered grain texture visible along the polished chrome surface. A hand-cut hamon traces the edge, and a detailed dragon engraving runs along the fuller, adding visual depth to the steel without interrupting the clean geometry of the curve. Full tang construction runs the blade steel through the entire handle assembly, keeping the piece structurally sound as a display replica.

The tsuka is assembled in traditional koshirae style: white synthetic samegawa forms the underlayer, then black ito is wrapped in the classic diamond-cross pattern, leaving evenly spaced white menuki windows along both faces. The grip is firm and proportioned at roughly a quarter of the sword's 40.5-inch total length, with black sageo cord attached at the kurigata of the saya.

At the transition between blade and handle, a white alloy tsuba commands attention. A teal-and-black braided sageo is knotted at the kurigata, introducing a cool-toned accent that offsets the warm saya color.
