Product Details

The blade on this katana is forged from manganese steel and hand-polished to a bright chrome finish. A traditional hamon line traces the edge from tip to tang, and a wave engraving runs along the flat of the blade, adding visual texture without interrupting the clean geometry of the grind. The full-tang construction keeps the blade firmly anchored through the handle, and the hand-finished edge reflects the kind of careful workmanship associated with Original Samurai Sword craft traditions.

The tsuka is built over white same (ray skin) and wrapped in black-and-white tsuka-ito using a tight diamond pattern. White menuki accent pieces are visible between the wrap segments, and the kashira cap is finished in aged bronze to match the overall hardware tone. The grip sits at a balanced length relative to the 41-inch overall measurement of the piece.

The tsuba is a round, plain-profile piece cast in bronze with a warm antique patina. Its open silhouette - two symmetrical cutouts flanking the blade slot - keeps the design clean while allowing the aged bronze color to stand against both the chrome blade and the black cord wrap. The fuchi collar is finished in the same bronze tone, creating a unified hardware set throughout the koshirae assembly.

The saya is shaped from hardwood and finished in a gold lacquer coat that reads as a muted brass-gold in natural light. Brown sageo cord is tied at the kurigata in a traditional knot, with small brown beads worked into the cord ends. The koiguchi and kojiri fittings are finished in matching bronze, pulling the saya visually into the same hardware family as the tsuba and fuchi.

Overall length is 41 inches with a shipping weight of 7 lb. The piece ships in a 43 x 4 x 4-inch box. No sword stand is included. The combination of gold saya, bronze hardware, chrome blade, and black-white tsuka-ito makes this a visually cohesive koshirae-style replica suited for shelf or wall display.

  • Forged from manganese steel, the full-tang blade features a visible hamon line and a wave engraving along the flat, giving the polished chrome finish added depth and character.
  • The saya is crafted from hardwood with a gold lacquer finish - a striking contrast to the black tsuka wrap that draws the eye along the full 41-inch length of the piece.
  • A round bronze tsuba anchors the koshirae-style fittings, its aged patina complementing the antique-toned bronze kashira and fuchi hardware visible at each end of the handle.
  • Black and white tsuka-ito is wrapped in a classic diamond pattern over white same (ray skin), with brown sageo cord and beaded accents completing the traditional koshirae assembly.
  • Total length 41 inches, shipping weight 7 lb - packaged in a 43 x 4 x 4-inch box, suitable for wall display or collection alongside other koshirae-style replicas.

It’s a really nice katana, it’s serious and heavy, it’s details and scabbard I really like and I already used it to cut things such as branches (sometimes 1.5 inch diameter) and boxes and it cuts well (though I wish it was a bit sharper). Other than that I’m well pleased and thank you TrueKatana
