Product Details

The blade is forged from manganese steel with a full tang construction, measuring 28.74 inches with a chrome-finished surface. A distinctive fire-style hamon pattern runs along the edge, creating an irregular wave effect that catches light at every angle. Hardened to 58 HRC, the steel holds a refined edge and provides lasting structural integrity.

The handle extends 10.23 inches and is built on a hardwood core wrapped in white real rayskin for texture and grip security. Black cord is tightly wound over the samegawa in a traditional diamond pattern, with small gold menuki ornaments visible beneath the wrapping. The kashira at the pommel end features a circular gold medallion inset against a black frame.

At the junction of blade and handle sits a black alloy tsuba with an open-cut radial spoke design. A polished gold-tone brass habaki collar seats the blade firmly into the guard, creating a clean visual transition from the dark fittings to the bright steel. This Full Tang Katana Blade assembly ensures the tang runs the full length of the handle for a solid one-piece feel.

The 30.7-inch saya is crafted from hardwood and finished in glossy black piano lacquer that gives it a mirror-like sheen. Gold kanji characters are engraved along the body of the scabbard, adding a traditional calligraphic element to the sleek surface. A black sageo cord wraps the kurikata with a red knot accent that introduces a vivid contrast against the dark lacquer.

At 40.94 inches overall and 4.4 lbs in weight, this Black Manganese Steel Katana carries real presence as a display piece. The combination of gold engraving, red cord details, and glossy black lacquer creates a striking color story rooted in classical Japanese sword aesthetics.

Blade is incredibly sharp, well balanced, and beautifully made. The only drawback was the bottom kashira pommel cap. Frequent use causes it to slide off easily.
