This full tang katana features a clay tempered 1095 carbon steel blade spanning 28.74 inches, hardened to 58 HRC. The clay tempering process creates a distinct hamon line along the edge - clearly visible against the deep blue finish that covers the blade surface. The blue hue transitions cleanly to a bright silver edge line, giving the blade a dramatic two-tone appearance that catches light from every angle. The tsuka measures 10.23 inches and is built on a hardwood core wrapped in white PU samegawa. Black cord tsuka-ito is wound in a traditional diamond pattern over the samegawa, creating a firm and textured grip.
