The differential heat treatment leaves the edge hardened to 60 HRC while keeping the spine more flexible, a balance that also creates the soft blue-grey iridescence visible across the flat of the blade in changing light.

The handle system pairs a 10.2-inch hardwood core with an underlayer of genuine white rayskin - real samegawa rather than synthetic - before the black cord wrap is applied in tight, evenly spaced coils. The rayskin nodes press through slightly at the grip points, giving the hand something to read even through the wrap. A decorative finial at the kashira carries the same dark alloy tone as the tsuba hardware.

The tsuba is the most visually complex element: a cast alloy guard shaped into a full demon-mask relief, wide cheekbones and deep-set eye sockets rendered in matte black. Flanking scrollwork fills the guard's wings, and a matching habaki collar in the same dark metal ties the blade-to-handle transition together cleanly.
