The blade on this katana is forged from Damascus steel and finished in a deep dark red tone that shifts toward burgundy along the spine. The tsuka is wrapped in navy blue ito cord over a white same (rayskin) base, forming the classic diamond-window pattern traditional to Japanese koshirae construction.
