The handle is built in the traditional aikuchi fashion - no tsuba gap, just a smooth transition from blade collar to grip. Black leather cord is wrapped in the classic hishi-gumi diamond pattern over white PU samegawa, creating the high-contrast checkered look visible in the image. Two gold-tone alloy menuki are set into the wrap, adding a warm metallic accent against the black cord.

At the blade collar, a low-profile black alloy habaki and a carved dragon-motif collar piece maintain the guardless aikuchi line while still giving the blade a clean seat point.
