The tsuka (handle) is built on a full tang core and wrapped in authentic white samegawa ray skin, which provides a firm, textured base layer. Over that, black ito cord is laced in a traditional diagonal pattern, creating the characteristic diamond-shaped openings that expose the samegawa beneath. The black wrapping ties into the sageo cord at the saya mouth, keeping the color palette cohesive throughout the koshirae.

The tsuba is cast in gold and black with a wave motif - rolling crests rendered in relief across both faces of the guard. The gold tones catch light against the darker recessed areas, giving the handguard a layered, sculptural quality.
