This double edge tanto features a folded pattern steel nagasa with a vivid red finish that reveals layered grain patterns across the 8.25-inch blade. The folding process creates visible swirling lines throughout the steel, and the double-edged profile tapers to a fine point. Hardened to 60 HRC, the blade holds a hand-finished edge on both sides, making it a standout among Full Tang Tanto collectibles.
The 5.5-inch handle is cast in a dark bronze alloy and covered in intricate geometric lattice patterns. The grip section features raised scrollwork with copper-toned accents that contrast against the darkened bronze base. At the pommel, a circular medallion displays a coiled dragon motif surrounded by cloud patterns, adding a distinctly East Asian artistic element.
The tsuba takes the form of a sculpted guardian beast head - a bold, three-dimensional face with curled features and pronounced brow ridges rendered in dark bronze with subtle copper highlights.
