Product Details

This full tang katana is forged from T10 carbon steel using a traditional clay tempering process, hardening the edge to 60 HRC while leaving the spine more flexible. The result is a visible real hamon line that runs organically along the 28.3-inch nagasa, reflecting the differential heat treatment inherent to this centuries-old technique. The blade surface shows a chrome-toned polish that highlights the folded steel grain.

The 10.2-inch tsuka is wrapped in brown leather ito cord over genuine black samegawa (ray skin), creating a diamond pattern grip that sits firmly in the hand. The ito is tightly wound with consistent spacing, and the overall brown-and-black color scheme gives the handle a grounded, earthy aesthetic.

At the heart of this Dragon Katana is its gold-toned alloy tsuba, featuring a three-dimensional dragon sculpture coiled among clouds and waves. The dragon's body wraps around the guard with detailed scales and gilded highlights, while the tsuba base displays a geometric lattice pattern that adds visual depth without competing with the main motif.

The black matte hardwood saya measures 30.3 inches and provides a clean, understated contrast to the ornate fittings. A brown sageo cord is tied at the kurikata in a traditional decorative knot, matching the tsuka ito for a cohesive look. The koiguchi fits snugly to hold the blade securely in place.

With an overall length of 40.5 inches and a weight of 2.65 lbs, this T10 Katana Sword balances visual detail with structural integrity. Every component - from the clay tempered blade to the dragon tsuba and hand-wrapped handle - is assembled by hand, making it a distinctive addition to any Japanese sword collection.

I was very pleased with the quality of workmanship and beauty of the katana that I purchased. The order came swiftly within the time frame given.
It may have been my mistake, but I was never queued for the sharpness of the blade. Other than that I am very pleased with my order. Thank you
