Product Details

This katana features a full tang 1065 carbon steel nagasa measuring 28.3 inches, hand-polished to a chrome finish. Heat-treated to 58 HRC, the steel holds a refined edge while maintaining resilience through the spine. The polished surface catches light cleanly along the gentle curve, making it a strong addition to any Carbon Katana collection.

The 10.2-inch tsuka is built on a hardwood core wrapped in white PU samegawa for texture and grip stability. Brown ito cord is wound in a traditional diamond pattern over the samegawa, and the pairing of warm brown against white creates a distinctive, natural look that complements the overall earth-toned aesthetic.

At the guard sits a black alloy tsuba with a raised dragon design highlighted by gold-tone detailing. The dragon motif wraps across the surface with dimensional depth, bordered by a brass-colored habaki that transitions smoothly between guard and blade. This level of craftsmanship in the fittings elevates the piece well beyond a standard replica.

The 30.3-inch hardwood saya is coated in piano lacquer that lets the natural grain and warm cream hue show through. A black sageo cord is tied at the kurikata, offering a clean tonal contrast against the pale wood. The saya mouth is fitted with a black buffalo horn koiguchi for a snug, protective fit.

With an overall length of 40.5 inches and a weight of 2.65 lbs, this katana balances comfortably in hand. Every component - from the carbon steel nagasa to the dragon tsuba and natural wood saya - is assembled as a cohesive display piece that reflects traditional Japanese sword design principles.

This sword is awesome and definitely sharp enough. I’ve seen some people saying it’s not sharp enough, I sliced paper no problem. Blade was oiled, wrap on the handle is tight. I will definitely order from you guys again for gifts for other people.
