Product Details

This full tang Damascus steel katana features a striking 28.74-inch blade forged from folded layers of spring steel, creating the signature wavy Damascus pattern visible across the entire surface. The blade carries a deep dark red coloring that contrasts with the bright hamon line running along its clay-tempered edge, hardened to 58 HRC. The layered steel structure gives each blade a one-of-a-kind grain pattern, making this a standout piece among Damascus Steel Sword designs.

The tsuka measures 10.23 inches and is built on a hardwood core wrapped in genuine red samegawa rayskin. Over the rayskin, a bright red ito cord is tightly wound in a traditional diamond pattern, with gold menuki ornaments peeking through the wrapping to add small but deliberate metallic accents against the vivid red.

At the junction of blade and handle sits a copper tsuba with a dark, aged patina and sculpted edges that form an irregular flower-like silhouette. Just below it, a habaki collar features an openwork honeycomb pattern in gold-toned metal, creating a clean transition from guard to blade and locking the sword securely into its saya.

The 30.7-inch hardwood saya is finished in piano lacquer and decorated with swirling dark red and black patterns that mirror the Damascus grain of the blade itself. A red braided sageo cord is tied around the saya in a traditional knot near the kurikata, completing the cohesive red-and-dark color scheme that runs through every component of this katana.

At 41 inches overall and 4.4 lbs, this Red Damascus Katana delivers a substantial feel with balanced weight distribution. Every fitting - from the copper tsuba to the lacquered saya - is assembled around the full tang blade, resulting in a collectible sword built with layered craftsmanship and bold visual identity.

I bought this Katana as an 18th birthday gift for my son. He’s very involved in martial arts and things of that nature. He went and found the Katana and asked for it as his gift. We were actually blown away by the craftsmanship and beauty of both the katana and the wooden sheath. The Katana itself is gorgeous and so well made the attention to detail is remarkable. The wooden sheath is stunning and looks like a masterpiece itself. We quickly ordered wall mounts and it’s proudly mounted on my son’s wall in his room. It’s a stunning piece to look at and he LOVES having it as part of his decor for his room as well as just an amazing piece of what I’d call art! I’m sure he will be finding more on your site to order for future occasions and I will definitely happily purchase knowing we are getting such high quality goods.

Beautiful weapon. The scabbard and blade look exquisite. The red color on the blade adds mystique, yet you can still see the pattern and the balance is excellent. The handle and scabbard wrapping are firm and look fantastic. Definitely art and functionality fused beautifully.
