Product Details

This katana features a 28.74-inch blade forged from T10 carbon steel using a clay tempering process. The differential hardening produces a prominent real hamon line that runs the length of the blade, visible as an irregular wave pattern along the steel. Hardened to 58 HRC, the edge holds up well while the spine retains flexibility - a hallmark of traditional Japanese bladesmithing found across the T10 Katana collection.

The tsuka stretches 10.23 inches and is built over a full-tang core. Real white rayskin sits beneath a tightly wound black ito cord, creating a high-contrast wrap that stands out against the dark fittings. The diamond pattern of the cord ensures a secure hold throughout the handle length.

At the guard position, the alloy tsuba commands attention with dual relief motifs - one side depicts a samurai figure while the reverse features a skull design, both rendered in an antiqued brass finish. An openwork habaki collar with a honeycomb pattern sits just below, adding layered detail to the transition zone between blade and grip.

The saya is crafted from hardwood and finished in a deep black piano lacquer that gives it a smooth, refined surface. A black and white braided sageo cord is tied at the kurikata, matching the monochrome palette of the handle wrap. The scabbard measures 30.7 inches and fits the blade securely.

Overall, this katana measures 40.94 inches in total length and weighs approximately 3 lbs. From the clay tempered T10 steel blade to the skull-themed tsuba and lacquered saya, every component reflects intentional design choices aimed at collectors who value both craftsmanship and visual impact. Sword stand is not included.

Great sword. The details are meticulous. The only reason for the 4 stars is that I haven’t used it yet. But based on all the other qualities I’m assuming it will be good.

Incredible. Pictures do not do justice. Can tell they put alot of soul time and effort into these katanas and is a true functioning piece of art.
