Product Details

The blade is forged from T10 carbon steel and processed through traditional clay tempering, producing a genuine hamon - the undulating temper line visible along the cutting edge. Hardened to 58 HRC, the 28.5-inch blade balances hardness with resilience, a hallmark of differential heat treatment. The steel surface carries a subtle texture that catches the light along its full length.

The tsuka measures 10.25 inches and is built over a full tang core wrapped in red PU samegawa, then bound with black cotton cord in a traditional crosshatch pattern. Small gold-tone menuki sit beneath the wrapping, providing both grip texture and a decorative accent that complements the overall red-and-black color scheme.

The alloy tsuba features a richly detailed floral relief carved on both faces, finished in a warm copper tone. A brass-colored habaki and seppa ring sit at the blade collar, creating a layered transition from guard to edge. The detail work on the tsuba gives this piece a distinctive character among Multi-colored T10 Carbon Steel Katana offerings.

The 28.5-inch hardwood saya is coated in a glossy red piano lacquer with a manga-themed black illustration painted across its midsection. A black sageo cord is tied at the kurikata in a traditional knot. The high-gloss red finish and dark artwork create a striking contrast that defines the visual identity of this piece, fitting well alongside other Red Hardwood Japanese Samurai Swords in any display.

At 41 inches overall and weighing 4.5 lbs, this katana is built with substance. Every component - from the clay tempered blade to the lacquered saya - is assembled by hand. It serves equally well as a collector's centerpiece or a standout addition to a curated display. Sword stand or holder is not included.

The website was super easy to order from. The explanations of what we’re purchasing was accurate. And the prices are reasonable. My only issue with this entire transaction was lack of communication. I never received any confirmation about the purchase. No tracking numbers, no order numbers. I had to send 4 emails to different people before I did finally get a confirmation back. And then 2 days later I received my sword. And MAN!!!! It’s awesome. Exactly what I was looking for. It’s damn sharp and well constructed. It’s such a cool conversation piece but I’m also excited to try it out on some items.

My favorite part about the katana is the clay tempered pattern. It has a unique look to it. Also, it feel like a solid and durable sword so far. I haven't cut anything with it yet to test the sharpness of the blade, but I was able to return the katana back to the sheath very smoothly and I was pleased with that.
