Product Details

The blade on this chokuto-style ninjato is forged from manganese steel and finished in black, with hand-etched flame engravings carved along the flat that catch light dramatically against the darkened surface. The straight single-edge profile follows the classic ninjato form, and the precision-finished edge runs clean to a sharp tip. At 41 inches overall, the sword carries confident presence without feeling unwieldy. Collectors drawn to Black Steel Ninja Sword designs will recognize the appeal immediately.;

The tsuka is constructed with a full-tang core wrapped in black cord using a traditional diagonal binding pattern over white PU samegawa. The diamond-shaped gaps in the wrap reveal the pale ray-skin beneath, delivering the black-and-white contrast that defines this handle's visual character. The black iron tsuba takes a plain round form - no elaborate carving, just a clean disc that reinforces the minimalist koshirae intent.

The saya is covered in black PU leather shaped into a woven diamond-pattern surface that mirrors the tsuka wrap's geometry. A bronze floral ring fitting is mounted near the kurigata, its warm gold tone providing the one deliberate contrast point in an otherwise all-black presentation. The black sageo cord ties the ensemble together.

This piece belongs to a broader family of Black Ninja Sword collectibles - straight-bladed, dark-finished swords that draw from ninja aesthetic traditions and translate them into display-grade replicas built by experienced swordsmiths using full-tang construction throughout.

Total length is 41 inches with a shipping weight of 5 lbs. Packaged in a 43 x 4 x 4 inch box. Sword stand not included. Designed for collectors and enthusiasts seeking a striking ninja-style replica with cohesive black koshirae and distinctive flame-engraved blade detail.

I bought the sword believing it to come about 15-20 days later, it ended up coming in 5 days before expected. It came fully protected in plastic and bubble wrap and covered in oils to preserve the metal. It is a very well made sword of high quality and definitely worth the price.
