Product Details

The blade is the centerpiece of this ninjato replica, forged from 1095 carbon steel and finished in a deep dark red that runs from ricasso to the squared chisel tip. A bright white shinogi line traces the blade's spine, creating a sharp two-tone contrast that photographs dramatically against any background. No hamon is present - the surface is smooth and uniformly finished, letting the red coloration carry the visual weight. At 41 inches overall and 3 lbs, the sword has real presence without being unwieldy on a shelf or in hand.

The tsuka is wrapped in black cord over a PU white samegawa base, wound in a tight diamond pattern that gives the handle texture and grip. The wrap tapers cleanly toward the pommel and meets the iron fittings flush - no loose ends or uneven spacing visible in the construction. The full-tang build means the blade runs the complete length of the handle, giving the piece solid feel throughout.

The tsuba is one of the most distinctive details on this sword. Crafted from black iron, it uses an open geometric cut-out design - elongated slots radiate outward from a central star-shaped void, creating a windmill-like silhouette. The cutaways give it a mechanical, angular character that sets it apart from the rounded floral guards common on standard katana replicas. The saya is constructed from a hardwood core wrapped in black PU leather with a fine diamond-grid texture embossed across the surface. Gold-tone dome rivets are spaced evenly down the length, paired with orange contrast stitching that traces the panel seams. Two silver metal buckle straps - one near the throat, one mid-body - add functional hardware detail and break up the black field. The kojiri tip transitions to a smooth matte-black cylindrical finish, and a carry loop is integrated at the base for display or suspension.

This ninjato is a well-detailed replica suited for collectors drawn to bold blade colorways and geometric hardware. If the dark red and black palette speaks to you, browse the full Red Carbon Steel Ninjato lineup for additional configurations. Note that a sword stand is not included.
