Full Tang Wakizashi with Blue Blade, Manganese Steel - Wave Hamon, Demon Tsuba, Blue-Red Ito

The blade is forged from high manganese steel and finished in a deep blue that shifts along the curve of the edge. A wave-pattern hamon runs the full length of the nagasa, its white crest tracing the boundary between the hardened edge and the darker spine - one of the most visually striking details on this piece. The hand-forged construction and full-tang design give the blade consistent geometry from base to tip.

The tsuka is wrapped in blue and red ito over a PU red samegawa underlayer. The two-tone diamond pattern sits tight and even across the handle, keeping the grip secure and the visual contrast sharp. Full tang steel runs the entire length of the handle core, so the assembly feels solid without flex or rattle.

The black iron tsuba carries a hand-cast demon face in relief, surrounded by carved texture that fills the guard's surface. The detail reads clearly at close range - the facial features, raised lines, and surrounding negative space all hold their shape cleanly in the cast iron. It sits flush against the habaki and koiguchi for a snug fit.

The saya is built from hardwood with a black lacquer finish and wrapped at the koiguchi with knotted black cord. The body of the saya features an all-over knotted cord wrap in a repeating lattice pattern, giving the scabbard a textured surface that contrasts with the polished blue blade when drawn.
