Product Details

The blade of this katana is forged from 1045 carbon steel in a full tang configuration, heat-treated to 58 HRC hardness. The 28.74-inch nagasa features a chrome-polished finish that catches light cleanly along its length, with a hand-finished edge running the full curvature. Spring steel construction gives the blade a reliable balance of rigidity and resilience suited to a collectible piece of this caliber.

The tsuka measures 10.23 inches and is built over a hardwood core wrapped in PU black samegawa with white rayskin underlays visible between the diamond wrapping nodes. Black cord ito is tightly wound in a traditional crosshatch pattern, providing both visual texture and a firm, ergonomic grip. Dual silver menuki sit beneath the cord wrapping, adding subtle detail to the handle profile.

At the junction of blade and handle sits a round iron tsuba cast with an intricate floral relief - peony blossoms and foliage rendered in dimensional detail across a dark ground. A gold-tone real copper habaki completes the transition, and the overall guard assembly reflects the traditional Samurai appreciation for natural motifs in functional metalwork. The saya is the visual centerpiece of this katana. Crafted from hardwood and finished in piano lacquer, it presents a rich blue marble-style pattern - clusters of lighter blue tones scattered across a deeper indigo ground, evoking cherry blossom petals or stone aggregate. Dark green sageo cord is tied in a traditional knot around the kurikata, contrasting beautifully against the blue surface. The koiguchi and kojiri fittings are finished in dark tones that frame the pattern cleanly. Browse our full Blue Katana selection for more blue-themed designs.

The wrap fell off pretty fast but the blade it’s self was pretty good. It cuts well.

We all know these katanas aren’t real and that the real ones out there are for so much more. All though, these weapons that they make are sharp and are done beautifully. 10/10!
