Product Details

The blade on this ninjato is forged from high manganese steel and given a black finish that runs cleanly from tip to the full-tang core seated inside the handle. A visible hamon traces the edge line, adding depth to the dark surface without interrupting the sleek, straight profile characteristic of ninjato geometry. At 41 inches overall, the proportions sit comfortably in the full-length ninja sword category, balancing display presence with a manageable form factor. If you're building out a Best Ninja Swords collection, the black blade here provides a strong visual anchor against the vivid blue fittings.

The tsuka construction pairs PU white samegawa under a blue and white ito wrap tied in a traditional diamond pattern. The contrast between the deep blue cord and white samegawa diamonds gives the handle a layered, structured look that reads clearly from a distance. Alloy menuki fittings are set beneath the wrap, and the overall assembly maintains a consistent grip profile from collar to pommel.

The silver-toned alloy tsuba is one of the standout details on this piece. Viewed up close, the circular guard carries an engraved geometric pattern across its face - concentric lines and triangular segments that give it a structured, almost architectural quality. The surface relief catches light at different angles, lending the tsuba visual complexity that plain flat guards lack.

The hardwood saya is lacquered in deep blue and printed with a white lightning motif that branches across the full length of the scabbard. The pattern has an organic, electric quality - irregular white lines radiating against the blue base in a style sometimes referenced as raging fire or storm-pattern finishing. A blue sageo cord ties at the koiguchi, echoing the handle wrap color and completing the monochromatic blue-and-black palette. This Black Flame Theme Blade Ninjato family shares similar high-contrast saya aesthetics for collectors who favor this visual direction.

Packaging dimensions run 43 x 4 x 4 inches with a shipping weight of 5 lbs. The sword stand or holder is not included. This ninjato is suited for wall display, desk presentation, or adding a bold blue accent to an existing Japanese sword collection.

  • Forged from high manganese steel, the black-finished blade runs full tang through the handle, delivering structural integrity with a precision-finished edge and visible hamon along the cutting surface.
  • The blue hardwood lacquer saya features a striking white lightning-pattern print across the entire length, creating a bold visual contrast that makes this ninjato instantly recognizable on any display.
  • Blue and white tsuka wrap follows a traditional diamond-pattern ito over PU white samegawa, secured with alloy fittings for a firm, balanced grip that holds its form over time.
  • A silver-toned alloy tsuba with engraved geometric patterning adds a refined structural accent between blade and handle, finished with a blue sageo cord at the scabbard mouth.
  • Overall length 41 inches, shipping weight 5 lbs - sized for wall display, sword stand presentation, or collection alongside other full-length ninjato pieces.

Great sword. Considerably great shipping time considering it came from China to South Dakota. Slight warp on the last three inches of the tip of the sword but other than that it is razor sharp. Gave it a 4 star solely because of the warp.
