1065 Carbon Steel Katana with Black Blade, Red Lacquer Saya & Bronze Tsuba

The blade on this katana is forged from 1065 carbon steel with a full-tang core running the entire length of the handle. A visible hamon temper line traces the edge in a natural wave pattern, and the steel is finished in a deep black polish that gives the 41-inch overall profile a bold, high-contrast look. The tsuka is built over a full-tang core and wrapped in red cotton cord tied in a traditional hishi (diamond) pattern over black PU samegawa. The underlying ray-skin texture adds grip structure beneath the cord, while gold-tone menuki accents are seated beneath the wrapping at classic placement points, visible in the gaps between the cord diamonds.

Separating blade from handle is a bronze ornate scroll tsuba - circular in profile with open ironwork-style relief detailing and warm antique bronze coloring.
