After forging, the blade undergoes clay tempering to develop a natural hamon line. Hazuya and jizuya polishing stones are applied section by section using wafer-thin slices, bringing out both the hamon and the steel's grain pattern. The result is a chrome-toned blade with a hand-finished, mirror-bright surface and a clearly defined temper line.

The tsuka is wrapped in purple cord over real white samegawa rayskin, forming the diamond-pattern characteristic of traditional koshirae fittings. A copper habaki collar seats the blade securely, and the full-tang construction runs the complete length of the handle for solid, rigid balance throughout.
