The tsuka is wrapped in teal ito cord over a white ray-skin foundation, executed in the traditional diamond-pattern that exposes evenly spaced segments of the white samegawa beneath. The green and teal tones read as deep and saturated in direct light, giving the handle a richness that pairs well with the black hardware. A small gold menuki accent sits beneath the wrapping on the handle face.

The tsuba is a chrysanthemum open-petal design - black iron with a gold oval seppa visible at its base.
