The tsuka is wrapped in teal ito cord over a white ray-skin foundation, executed in the traditional diamond-pattern that exposes evenly spaced segments of the white samegawa beneath. The green and teal tones read as deep and saturated in direct light, giving the handle a richness that pairs well with the black hardware. A small gold menuki accent sits beneath the wrapping on the handle face.

The tsuba is a chrysanthemum open-petal design - black iron with a gold oval seppa visible at its base. The radiating cutout pattern follows the chrysanthemum motif closely, with each petal rendered as a separate opening in the iron disc. This guard style is a recognized emblem in classical Japanese koshirae design, and the black-and-gold color pairing here gives it clear visual weight against the blade.

The saya is black hardwood finished in lacquer - a smooth, even coat that reflects light uniformly along the scabbard body. The teal sageo cord wraps at the kurikata and ties off in a formal knot at the center of the saya, creating a deliberate color echo with the tsuka.
