I am very pleased with the quality of this bokken. One thing to note is that the blue is not as bright as the picture shows. When you look at the photos you would assume it will be royal blue, but in person it is actually closer to navy blue. This however wasn't a negative for me as I actually preferred the muter colors because they blended together better and in all honestly this is keeping true to the Japanese culture of not standing out. The designs on the tsuba are just as elegant as the picture and the wooden blade is prettier than the images depict it. It was well worth it. Definitely would recommend this store/website.

The black wooden kendo stick broke within minutes of use. I was lightly sparring with a friend, and the black kendo stick broke into multiple pieces. On the other hand, the natural kendo stick is very durable and barely dented with heavy use. I am overall not happy with my purchase.

Money well spent. I wish I could rate it 4.5 stars because I'm well pleased.
The packaging was air tight--it took a while to open it! Everything was in tact, no damage whatsoever.
As far as the sword itself, I'm impressed at just about EVERYTHING. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because they didn't have a faster shipping option and the wooden blade is more wobbly/thin/flimsy than I expected. It's still solid, as long as I don't hit stuff with it. I was hoping it would hold up to a certain level of sparring but clearly this is a sword meant for kata/air-movement. (It does have a very impressive "swoosh" sound).
Nonetheless, the scabbard is AMAZING. The handle is just WOW! You can tell they take their time with it. I'm seriously considering buying a higher-end, real blade katana from this site.

Process was reasonably fast from order to delivery. Scabbard doesn't stay on blade well with any reasonable motions. Could still see glue around hand guard and blade area. Slight rattle when you shake lightly. Otherwise pleased with the product for price and quickness of shipping.

The sword was good quality, and there were no bumps or nicks. The only thing was that the fabric on the handle was loose.

The product page said it came with a scabbard but it did not.
The wrap on the handled came unraveled after about 2 training sessions.
But the quality of the sword is nice. If I wanted just a regular wooden Iaido practice sword, I probably could have got one for much cheaper and same quality. I chose this one for the wrap and the scabbard and neither of those worked out but not a total lost so...eh.
