Beautiful red wood finish. Smooth from the handle of the wakizashi through to saya with tight alignment and a nice crisp lock closure. Well designed and looks great.

I got it on sale but some issues may indicate why it was on sale.
Cons:
Blade was bent and wavy ( not straight)
the grinds were a little heavy on some places showing little hot spots.
The Hamon was very prominent in photos but very faint in person.
Pros:
Blade is very sharp and although faint, the Hamon looks much better than a fake hamon.
Woodworking (and wood) vas very nice
Fitting was very nice and tight (handle ,and sword to sheath)
Overall it's ok for the "sale" price, but as is I would not pay full price again for the same piece that I recieved.
I am reviewing only 1 piece and this does not reflect True Katana's Overall product .

Bought it as a gift for my little brother. Wanted to wait a couple weeks so I could get some solid feedback on it from him.
With that being said, he absolutely loves it. He has been into swords for years, and wanted to get a real sword, not some Chinese stuff. He knows all the "nerdy" stuff, such as blades construction, and he can 100% say this is as real as they get. It comes very sharp as well, which is nice because it's "battle ready"
The word some pre oiled in a plastic film. They are packed neatly, and 100% protected. My only complaint is that it came in a box with the company name in big letters. I live in a pretty bad area, so to come home and see that box, that tells exactly what's inside was kinda infuriating. I'm not well off by anymeans, so $200 is a lot of money.
Other than that, customer service is great, they get back to you within hours. Very professional and easy to deal with.
Use their discounts that they always send via email, and check the site frequently. There are insane deals on here even before factor in their sometimes 20-40% off.
I'll definitely be buying Truekatana again.

Shipping was relatively fast, arrived as advertised, packaging undamaged, wrapped in oily plastic, overall looked great. it would be 5* but upon closer inspection the upper part of the handle is cracked, see the photo. while this is simply a shirasaya, i'm still disappointed the factory sent it out this way. if they don't care about the quality of your wood, what else do they not care about...?

Feels great has an amazing edge!!
is glued in to handle( not traditional) all pressed in wood to a very nice finish.
but also it doesn’t really stay in it’s scabbard without a tiny bit of cotton to make sure it’s friction fit is secured.
but over all its very very nice just a few small details and fixes but honestly it’s a personal thing and it’s easily fixed and worth doing for the price of the blade it self
