Product Details

This katana features a 28.3-inch nagasa forged from T10 carbon steel and finished through clay tempering. The differential hardening process produces a genuine hamon line visible along the blade surface, with the edge hardened to 60 HRC while the spine retains flexibility. The full tang blade is hand-finished to a refined edge, and the chrome-tone polish highlights the subtle grain pattern of the high-carbon steel.

The 10.2-inch tsuka is built on a hardwood core wrapped in black PU samegawa, then bound with white ito cord in a classic diamond pattern. The tight wrap and textured underlayer work together for a secure hold. This katana sits naturally alongside other T10 Steel Katana models in terms of build quality and material selection.

At the junction of blade and handle, an alloy tsuba displays an elaborate peacock motif - feathers fanning outward in gold-tone engraving against a dark field. A gold-accented habaki with a textured scale pattern seats the blade firmly in the saya, and matching fuchi-kashira complete the fittings.

The black hardwood saya measures 30.3 inches with a matte painted surface that mimics the look and feel of fine leather. A white sageo is tied at the kurikata, matching the handle wrap and creating a cohesive ivory-and-black color scheme across the entire sword.

At 40.5 inches overall and 2.85 lbs, this katana balances presence with manageability. The peacock-themed fittings, clay-tempered T10 blade with real hamon, and carefully coordinated black-and-white palette make it a distinctive collectible piece for sword enthusiasts and display collections alike.

What is the peacock tsuba made of on this sword?
The round tsuba is made from alloy and features a detailed peacock feather motif engraved in gold tone against a dark background. It is paired with a gold-accented habaki that has a textured scale pattern, giving the guard area a refined, ornamental look.
How does the black saya finish feel and what material is it?
The 30.3-inch saya is crafted from hardwood with a matte black painted surface designed to simulate a leather texture. It pairs with a white sageo cord tied at the kurikata, matching the white ito handle wrap for a consistent black-and-white aesthetic.

Heavy. That's a word to describe this sword. Blade finish is beautiful and was all packed nicely. However I do wish the saya was a heavier, more durable material.

True Katana did a good job fast shipping , easy website . The sword had a really sloppy hamon that looked awful on one side but besides that very good sword for the price. Nice balance.

It's a solid blade that cuts well enough. I'll warn that while the tsuka-baki looks off-white in the photo it's actual more of a wheat color. I'm still very satisfied with my purchase
