Product Details

This chokuto ninjato features a 20-inch straight blade forged from T10 carbon steel using clay tempering methods. The differential hardening process produces a genuine hamon line that runs along the polished chrome-toned surface, with the edge reaching 60 HRC. The full tang construction extends through the entire handle, providing structural integrity from tip to pommel. For those exploring this steel type further, our T10 Carbon Steel Ninjato collection offers additional variations.

The 8.75-inch tsuka is wrapped in black cotton cord using a traditional crisscross pattern over white polyurethane leather samegawa. The layered wrapping creates the classic diamond-shaped gaps that expose the white underlayer, giving the handle both visual texture and a non-slip grip surface.

At the junction of blade and handle sits a round alloy tsuba with an openwork design featuring organic cell-like cutouts. The tsuba is finished in black with gold-tone edging that catches the eye, while the fuchi and kashira maintain a matching black and gold scheme that ties the fittings together.

The 20.5-inch brown hardwood saya is covered in leather and engraved with Japanese kanji characters across its full length, giving the scabbard a manuscript-like appearance. A black sageo cord is tied at the kurikata, and the matte surface finish contrasts with the polished metal fittings. Collectors interested in clay tempered straight blades can browse the Clay Tempered Ninja Sword collection for related pieces.

With an overall length of 31 inches and a weight of 3.5 pounds, this ninjato carries the heft and proportions of a purpose-built straight sword. The combination of T10 steel construction, kanji-detailed saya, and gold-accented fittings positions this piece as a distinctive collectible for those drawn to the chokuto form. Sword and scabbard are included; stand is sold separately.

Pretty sweet sword, was worked it wouldn't be as legit as it said but man it's pretty well built and sharp. Haven't really used it in any training or battle but I'd be willing to bet when the zombies invade it'll probably cut a few of em down

Solid purchase, but can’t get the oil marks off the blade. Tried WD-40, rubbing alcohol, my go-to hand woodworking blade stuff, and ammonia. Hope my sharpening shop can clean it up. As for the craftsmanship, A !

Impressed with delivery time, wasn’t expecting it to turn that fast. Quality is good. Weight balance is excellent. Factory edge, I will admit, is unsurpassed. I buy a huge amount of blades, from kitchen to hunting to combat. Lines are true and seems to have the proper strength and flex, although I have not tested it for these functions. It will get tested against other blades. Hopefully it stands up to what it appears to be. If it shatters, I will post another review. In the meantime, everything points to great product and service. Thanks very much!

The sword is amazing to say the least, it’s great quality and not just the cheap material most places use for decoration. I had a big card board box left in the house just for practice, the sword went through cleaner than butter. Great place to get a blade
