Product Details

The blade is forged from 1045 carbon steel, spanning 28.74 inches and heat-treated to 58 HRC. A prominent hamon line runs the length of the edge, creating a striking visual contrast against the polished steel surface. The full tang construction extends through the entire handle, reinforcing structural integrity from tip to pommel. This piece fits well among other White 1045 Carbon Steel Katana offerings for collectors focused on this material class.

The 10.23-inch tsuka is built on a hardwood core wrapped in genuine white rayskin samegawa, with white ito cord laced in a traditional diamond pattern. The wrap is tight and uniform, providing both visual symmetry and a textured grip surface. Small sections of the white rayskin nodes peek through the cord gaps, adding subtle depth to the handle design.

At the junction of blade and handle sits a black alloy tsuba featuring a detailed snake motif with sculpted coils and scales. The dark finish of the guard creates a strong visual anchor between the bright blade steel and the white handle. A brass habaki collar with a serrated edge profile sits just below the tsuba, securing the blade to the handle assembly.

The 30.7-inch hardwood saya is finished with a distinctive white speckled texture - a matte white base covered in fine dark specks that give it a granite-like appearance. A white sageo cord is tied at the kurikata in a neat knot. The koiguchi mouth is wrapped in white and transitions smoothly into the textured body of the scabbard.

Overall this katana measures 40.94 inches and weighs 4.4 lbs, giving it a solid heft suited for display. The consistent white-on-white color scheme across the handle, saya, and sageo is offset by the black snake tsuba and brass accents, resulting in a clean monochrome aesthetic with deliberate contrast points. Sword stand or holder is not included.

Amazing. The hilt is made with finesse. Scabbard is heavy but that’s ok, fabric is really feels really good in hand.
