Product Details

The blade is forged from T10 carbon steel, a high-carbon tool steel prized for its edge retention and fine grain structure. Heat treatment produces a genuine hamon line that traces the full length of the blade - visible as a wave-pattern boundary between the hardened edge and the spine. The polished finish gives the blade a bright chrome-like appearance that highlights the hamon's natural contour without artificial enhancement. The tsuka is built on a full-tang core wrapped in black PU samegawa, then bound with black ito cord in the traditional diamond-pattern wrap. The tight, even spacing of each knot reflects careful hand-finishing, and the black menuki hardware accents are set beneath the ito at the appropriate positions along the handle's length.

The tsuba is one of the most visually distinctive elements on this katana. Cast in a gold tone, the circular guard carries deep relief dragon carvings across its entire face - twin dragons rendered in fine detail with textured scales, coiling forms, and open fretwork sections that add dimensional contrast. The gold finish draws immediate attention and sets the guard apart from the otherwise monochromatic handle assembly.

The saya is crafted from hardwood finished with white lacquer, and its most notable feature is the hand-painted grayscale artwork covering the lower half of the scabbard. The painting depicts a geisha figure rendered in black and white with fine brushwork detail - flowing robes, an expressive face, and decorative elements that give the saya the character of an individual art piece. A black sageo cord is knotted at the saya mouth. This piece connects naturally with our White Japanese Samurai Swords collection.

Overall length is 41 inches and the complete assembly weighs 3 pounds. Packaged in a 43 x 4 x 4 inch box with a shipping weight of 4 pounds. Sword stand is not included.

  • Gold-tone dragon tsuba features deep relief carving across the circular guard - a striking focal piece that contrasts sharply against the polished blade and black handle.
  • White hardwood lacquer saya is hand-painted with a detailed grayscale geisha figure scene, making each scabbard a one-of-a-kind visual centerpiece.
  • Black sageo cord is knotted at the saya mouth in a traditional style, completing the black-and-white color scheme with a rich, layered finish.

I want to review the product. Because as far buying it and shipping A So this is my first sword and seen great reviews on it and figured I spend more money get better sword then the $150 ones well on the scabbard their is run in the paint which not big deal but I was expecting super sharp blade. Well it somewhat sharp dosent spice through paper you have to really force it to cut the paper and it starts to tear it more. Also I found a nick in the blade. If this the quality of the $300 sword I will probably be really disappointed in the $150 ones but I’m going to order one of those and see the quality difference.
