Product Details

The blade is forged from 1000-layer folded melaleuca steel, producing a deep red finish that sets this katana apart from conventional steel tones. The folding process creates subtle layered patterns visible along the 28.74-inch nagasa, while spring steel construction delivers 58 HRC hardness. This is a striking addition to any Red Folded Steel Katana Sword collection.

The tsuka measures 10.23 inches and is wrapped in black PU leather over real black samegawa. The black ito follows a traditional crosshatch pattern, and the underlying white rayskin peeks through at the diamond gaps, adding contrast and improving grip texture throughout the handle length.

At the junction of blade and handle sits a copper tsuba bearing an elaborate dragon motif in silver-tone relief, surrounded by scrolling cloud designs. A gold-tone habaki and fuchi-kashira frame the guard, creating a layered metallic accent that pairs with the pommel cap featuring matching dragon detailing. This piece fits naturally among our Dragon Katana collection.

The hardwood saya is finished in piano lacquer and wrapped in grey PU leather embossed with a continuous floral scroll pattern. A black and white braided sageo cord is tied at the kurikata with a traditional knot, adding both function and visual texture to the scabbard. The saya measures 30.7 inches.

Overall length reaches 41 inches with a total weight of 4.4 lbs. This full tang katana balances its red folded steel blade, dragon-themed copper fittings, and textured grey saya into a cohesive collectible that commands attention on any display stand.

This is the most amazing Katana I have had the pleasure of owning. There is a perfection to it that is unmatched. The leather tsuka, love it. It's tip of a dragon head is beautiful. The tsuba is a solid piece of dragon art. The saya is engraved with shapes related to the theme. As for the nagasa... the idea of 1,000 times folded is mind boggling. The color, that perfect red and black. Looks like a surface of water in motion. I truly love this katana. Although a gripe of misunderstanding was addressed. The katana is perfect. I also hope they will be better with communication in the future.
