The blade is forged from T10 carbon steel and heat treated with oil quenching to produce a chrome-bright finish along the length of the nagasa. A genuine hamon line runs the full edge, showing the natural boundary created during the hardening process - each line is unique to this piece. The polished surface transitions cleanly from spine to edge, making the hamon clearly visible from multiple angles.
The tsuka is wrapped in black cord over white PU samegawa in a traditional diamond-pattern binding. The contrast between the black ito and the white ray-skin panels gives the handle a clean, high-contrast look consistent with koshirae-style construction. Full tang construction runs the complete length of the handle for structural integrity.
