Product Details

The blade on this katana is forged from 1060 carbon steel, ground and hand-finished to bring out a flowing hamon line along the edge. The temper line runs in a natural wave pattern across the polished steel, catching light differently at every angle. At 41 inches overall and 2 lbs, the proportions sit comfortably within traditional katana dimensions, and the full-tang construction ensures the steel runs uninterrupted from tip to pommel. For collectors exploring the White 1060 Carbon Steel Katana category, this piece represents a well-balanced entry with strong visual presence.

The tsuka is wrapped in black ito cord over a PU samegawa base, tied in a classic diamond hishi-gumi pattern. Gold menuki ornaments are seated beneath the wrapping and visible between the cord diamonds, adding a warm metallic accent against the all-black handle. The kashira at the pommel is finished in matching black alloy, keeping the handle palette consistent.

The tsuba is cast from black alloy in a chrysanthemum theme - the guard face shows engraved floral detailing across a rounded profile with petal-shaped cutouts near the edges. The surface carries an aged, slightly distressed finish that reads as antique against the brighter steel of the blade. A cream-toned habaki collar separates the tsuba from the blade base, providing a clean transition point between the dark guard and the polished nagasa.

The saya is lacquered hardwood in white, a deliberate contrast to the all-black tsuka and fittings. The lacquer surface shows subtle texture variation across the length, and a black sageo cord is knotted at the kurikata with a wrapped finish. The interplay of white saya against black handle components is the defining visual element of this koshirae. This katana is also featured in the broader 1060 Katana Sword collection alongside related configurations.

Total length runs 41 inches with a shipping package of 43 x 4 x 4 inches and a shipping weight of 3 lbs. The combination of chrome-polished 1060 steel, white lacquer saya, chrysanthemum alloy tsuba, and black ito wrap makes this a visually cohesive piece suited for display or collection alongside other koshirae-style katana.

  • Black alloy tsuba features a chrysanthemum-themed design with engraved floral motifs, finished in an aged dark tone that contrasts cleanly against the ivory-toned habaki.

Bought it for my 14 year old to display on his wall. He ended up chopping his sisters head off with it after she once again left the toilet running, which caused water to leak downstairs all over his bed. Toilet has not leaked since, great katana!

Man when I tell you it’s worth the wait the design the feel is amazing. Only reason I’m giving it 4 out of 5 is because my sheathe was a lil cracked but besides that there’s no reason you shouldn’t get one
