Product Details

The blade on this katana is forged from manganese steel and hand-ground to a chrome-polished finish, producing a bright, mirror-like surface that catches light cleanly along its 28.3-inch length. The full tang construction extends through the entire handle, ensuring the blade and hilt form one continuous piece of steel rather than a pinned or partial assembly. This build makes it a solid pick for those browsing the Full Tang Japanese Sword category.

The tsuka is built over a hardwood core and wrapped in black cord, with red PU samegawa beneath creating the diamond-pattern reveals characteristic of traditional Japanese ito-maki. The result is a visually sharp black-red contrast that reads clearly even at a distance - the red rayskin peeks through each opening in the cord wrap with a consistent, even spacing.

The bronze tsuba is the standout fitting on this piece. Cast with a coiled dragon motif set against a textured background suggesting clouds or waves, the relief work is deep enough to show clear shadow and dimension. The aged bronze tone separates it visually from the black handle above and the polished blade below, anchoring the entire koshirae in a single cohesive theme.

The saya is shaped from hardwood and finished in piano lacquer, producing a solid black gloss that mirrors the handle wrap in tone. Red painted accents run along the lower portion of the scabbard interior, visible when the blade is partially drawn - a detail that ties the saya's color story back to the handle's red samegawa.

At 40.5 inches overall and 3.17 lbs, this katana is sized and weighted for display mounting or cosplay use. The package measures 43.3 x 3.93 x 3.14 inches and ships at 4.4 lbs. Note: sword stand is not included.

  • Forged from manganese steel, this full tang katana delivers a chrome-polished blade spanning 28.3 inches - the full tang construction runs the entire length of the handle for solid, balanced handling.
  • The black hardwood saya is finished in piano lacquer, giving it a deep gloss that contrasts sharply with the red accents painted along the scabbard's inner surface.
  • A bronze dragon-themed tsuba anchors the fittings, featuring deeply cast relief work depicting a coiled dragon among clouds - a visually striking centerpiece in the koshirae assembly.
  • The tsuka is wrapped in black cord over red PU samegawa (rayskin), with the diamond pattern revealing bursts of crimson at each opening - a bold black-red contrast throughout the handle.
  • Overall length: 40.5 inches | Blade: 28.3 inches | Handle: 10.2 inches | Weight: 3.17 lbs - proportioned for wall display or cosplay collection use.

Sword is nice however the sheath is loose and doesn’t hold sword firmly. Also the handle shows the rivets holding it together. Overall I guess I expected more for the price but then again this isn’t a $1000 sword. If I buy again I will look at higher end katanas.
