T10 Carbon Steel Katana with White Lacquer Saya - Bronze Chrysanthemum Tsuba, Black-White Sageo

The blade on this katana is crafted from T10 carbon steel and finished to a high-polish chrome tone that catches light along the entire length of the nagasa. A genuine hamon line runs the edge of the blade - the result of a hand-finished tempering process that creates the characteristic wave pattern prized in traditional Japanese swordsmithing. The full-tang construction ensures the blade extends completely through the handle for solid, balanced handling at a total length of 41 inches.

The tsuka is wrapped in black cotton ito over a foundation of real white samegawa (ray-skin), forming the diamond-pattern common to authentic koshirae construction. The grip provides firm traction and a comfortable two-handed hold, with copper fittings securing the assembly between handle and guard.

At the guard, a bronze chrysanthemum-themed tsuba draws immediate attention - its layered floral relief and aged bronze finish give the piece a distinctly classical character. The chrysanthemum motif, long associated with Japanese imperial and ceremonial aesthetics, makes this tsuba one of the most visually detailed components of the build.
