The blade on this katana is forged from Damascus steel, producing the layered, flowing grain pattern visible along the chrome-bright nagasa. A real hamon temper line runs the length of the blade - a hallmark of the hand-finishing process that gives each sword its individual character. The full tang construction carries that steel continuously from tip through handle, providing structural integrity across the entire 40.55 in. length.

The tsuka is wrapped over genuine white samegawa (ray skin), whose raised nodules create a textured base layer beneath the braided purple ito. The cord follows a traditional diamond-pattern wrap, leaving the samegawa visible in evenly spaced lozenges down the grip. Gold-tone menuki ornaments are seated beneath the wrap at mid-grip on each face, adding a warm metallic accent against the deep purple.

A gold-tone circular tsuba serves as the transition guard between blade and handle. Its face is covered in a dense field of raised studs, with a single raised kanji-style motif at center - all finished in consistent warm gold. A copper-toned habaki collar seats flush below the tsuba, bridging the guard to the blade's base and completing the koshirae-style fitting set.

The saya is shaped from hardwood and finished in deep purple natural lacquer, its surface marked by scattered gold-tone fleck detailing that catches light across the length of the scabbard. A braided sageo cord in purple and pink tones is knotted at the kurikata in a traditional decorative tie.
