The Tsuka of the Katana is absolutely astonishing... upon holding it firmly, I get better grip than with other swords I tested, so I was positively surprised. The Blade itself is absolutely beautiful... it was a present for me father, and he is crazy about it as I am.r

So, it's a little on the heavy side. The plastic covering the blade was ripped, stand the scabbard is loaded up with the oil the blade was shipped in - so whenever I unsheath it, the blade has way too much oil on it. The hamon is super fake looking. It should have a natural hamon because in the item description, it states the blade is clay tempered. Otherwise, I am happy with it overall. I guess the next one I buy will have to be more expensive- to get the features that I thought I was getting with this one.

The sword is a fine weapon, very sharp and light at 2 pounds. SF delivery was fast! I do question if the hamon is differentially hardened or mechanically applied. When reviewing the website and ordering there was nothing mentioning the hamon process. I would like True Katana to clarify this issue, before ordering any other swords.

Originally sent item with different colors than the picture. Was told that the did not have the exact color as shown. I asked for a return. They sent a return shipping label. I sent the item back. While the item was in transfer, the sword in the correct color scabbard and handle inlays showed up on my doorstep. Happy that I got the correct item. Could have let me know that it was coming.
