This is my second sword from True Katana. This sword is absolutely breathtaking. Well made with tight tolerances. The blade is dark and elegant. I have it displayed on the wall of my office and it's a beautiful addition. I purchased it more for art, but from my limited experience with functional swords, I would imagine this katana could also get things done.

I got this for my husband, and he was surprise and very amused. But loved it. The packing was great. I was a bit surprise that it was coming from China, nothing on the website said it was coming from there. Getting the sword out of the scabbard was difficult, until I figure out that it was covered in plastic. Nice way to protected, but also less chance of cutting yourself when taking it out. Overall good. I don't know much about quality, but unless you are real samurai and regularly goes on battle, this sword looks and feels great. The weight felt nice, my husband agreed also. He managed to wielded and move it around a bit and found the feel of it good for him. The price did not hurt either. I was expected to paid more for it.

Great sword! Was a little worried as there's not many reviews for this company. But bought a T10 Clay Hardened Katana and am happily satisfied with my purchase. It's definitely a beefy sword. I would not be afraid to take this out for sword on sword combat. I haven't cut anything with it yet, but it doesn't look like it should have any issues. There is no looseness at all on any of the fittings. If you're considering buying a sword here, then just do it, Don't worry, this company is legit. You will receive your product and it will be better than expected.

I don't think there was anything remarkable in this transaction. It had both it's good and bad aspects. I had inquired as to what time period to expect the Shirasaya. I said it was for a present, and that the site claimed 5-10 days and that I had allotted 3 weeks. The response was prompt, but all it said was "I will urge the craftsmen". Considering that I knew full well this was a mass production product, and the point of origin (and quality) more or less proved it, I don't think the response was relevant or forthright. The good about the item; a decent and well kept blade that would make a fine decoration. It actually had a pretty impressive pattern and brightness to it. The bad? The scabbard was horrendous. So much so that it doesn't even fit properly, meaning it slides right off. It was meant to be a present, and I nearly felt uncomfortable giving it to said person as the simplest nudge would unsheathe it. Considering it was around 250 USD, I wasn't expecting too much, and that is why I gave it a 3 star review. I will say that in the future I will probably shop around, as I was looking for a site to constantly buy presents for clients.

Great condition, the blade itself isn‘t that sharp and the Wood is alot darker as in the photo. Overall i‘m still very impressed what i got for that price.
