Pretty nice sword for martial arts sword forms practice. Probably wont hold up for contact training. It's a very light wood and seems slightly flexible. Overall, nice product for what I wanted it for.

I bought this for my son and was very upset to see it arrive with a crack sheath and there were marks on the sheath and the sword handle. The blade itself was very flimsy - low quality. Needless to say, my son was very disappointed. The upside is that I contacted customer service and was able to get a refund pretty promptly. So the 2 stars off are for the item itself, not customer service.

My katana arrived exactly as described and pictured. The first thing I noticed was the weight. It is heavier than expected but very well balanced. Some people say the hamon is etched and not real. I have worked in the steel industry for 25 years and can say it is truly heat treated. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I have already ordered another sword less than a week after I received the first one. Shipping time is slow but it actually ships from Longquan and not a warehouse in the states.
