-probably as a result, blade rattles excessively in Saya
- hamon appears authentic though very faint after polishing and correct lighting
- point of balance 6 inches from face of tsuka
-full tang? Unknown feels not (see above)
-at 2.56 lbs, a bit heavy (for me), for one handed use
Aside: tracking system non functional

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it! It's excellent craftsmanship, good weight, very sharp and perfect balance. I ordered it on 12/2 and received it on 12/10. My only complaint was the packaging. It was Styrofoam tapped all around. The packaging was open and destroyed when I received it, but the katana was in perfect condition. It was difficult to find away to wrap it up again without the box, but I made it work!

Katana is mostly fine, consider the item itself 4★. The hibaki arrived loose, and the sageo is REALLY frayed, which are problems I didn't expect from a new product that costs this much. Other than that, the Katana itself is very pretty and seems well-constructed, though hard to tell how well it'd hold up after any sort of actual contact. I swung it a few times at air, held up fine, and will work fine as a display piece which is the reason I got it.
I had to take another ★ off because of the absolutely RELENTLESS e-mail bombardment this company gives to leave a review. After the katana arrived, literally every 3 days I get a new e-mail begging me to leave a review and give them 5★ if everything was good. One or two of these e-mails I can forgive, but after the 5th one I'm leaving this review. I don't appreciate being harassed to tell people about how great your product is right after I got it, it worsens my experience with your company.
In short, Katana is mostly fine as far as I can tell, but you may as well blacklist sales@truekatana.com as soon as you receive your product if you don't want to be bombarded with e-mails begging you to review.

Came shipped in a well wrapped Styrofoam package and was delivered in 10 days. The blade was well oiled, sharp and beautiful. Makes me want to keep it for myself.
