The 12.5-inch T10 carbon steel blade is clay tempered and hand-finished to 62 HRC, producing a genuine hamon line that runs the full length of the cutting edge. The temper pattern is unique to each piece - a natural result of the clay tempering process rather than etching or surface treatment. The chrome-polished nagasa shows clean geometry with a matte spine transitioning to a bright, precision-finished edge, as seen in the close-up images.

The tsuka measures 6.3 inches and is built on a full-tang core for structural integrity throughout the handle. White polyurethane leather samegawa wraps the wooden core beneath tightly crossed black cord ito, forming the classic diamond-pattern binding. A single red menuki accent sits at the center wrap point, visible in the detail shots.

The tsuba is a round alloy piece finished in black, fitted with a gold-tone open lattice cutout - the irregular organic pattern of the cutwork adds visual depth without bulk. A double-band gold habaki collar sits immediately below the tsuba, creating a clean transition from guard to blade that stands out against the dark handle components.

The hardwood saya is finished in piano-gloss black lacquer and decorated with a scattered white floral splatter pattern across its entire surface - small irregular blooms against deep black that give this tanto a distinctly artistic character. The saya measures 13 inches and is fitted with a black sageo cord secured through the kurikata.
