Damascus Steel Odachi Sword with Real Hamon, Black Tsuka & Gold Lacquer Saya - Ornate Bronze Tsuba

The blade of this odachi is forged from folded damascus steel, with the layered grain visible across the polished flat. A genuine hamon line traces the edge, the result of differential heat treatment applied during the tempering process. The chrome-finish nagasa runs a full 43 inches overall, with a hand-finished edge and a tip geometry consistent with traditional tachi geometry. The tsuka is wrapped in black ito cord over PU black ray-skin, using a traditional diagonal lozenge pattern. Silver floral menuki are set beneath the wrap, adding subtle decorative interruption to the grip surface. The kashira at the pommel end carries the same silver-toned floral motif, tying the handle fittings together visually.

The bronze tsuba is the most visually commanding fitting on this piece. Cast with an ornate scroll outline and open-work lattice cutouts, it features dense floral relief carving across the surface. The warm copper-bronze tone contrasts directly against the black tsuka cord and the gold saya, creating a three-tone color balance across the full koshirae. Seppa on both sides of the tsuba provide the correct fit and spacing against the habaki.

The gold hardwood lacquer saya is the defining visual element of this odachi. The body is finished with an embossed geometric diamond grid running the full length, and the gold tone is consistent from koiguchi to kojiri. Bronze fittings at the mouth and tip of the saya match the tsuba metalwork. A black-and-white braided sageo is attached at the kurikata and tied in a traditional knot arrangement.
