Product Details

This ninjato features a 28.5-inch straight blade forged from T10 high carbon steel, clay-tempered to achieve a hardness of 60 HRC. The clay tempering process produces a natural hamon line that traces along the edge, while etched patterns along the blade flat near the spine add a rugged, textured character to the polished steel. The tip is ground to a clean chisel point, a signature trait of the traditional ninjato profile.

The tsuka measures 10.25 inches and is wrapped in black cord over black ray-skin samegawa, giving the handle both visual depth and a secure, textured feel. Beneath the wrapping, gold-tone menuki peek through the cord pattern, providing a subtle accent against the otherwise monochrome build. This Black Cord Handle Ninjato delivers a clean, understated grip design suited to its stealth-inspired lineage.

An oval alloy tsuba sits between blade and handle, finished in a dark tone with gold accents that catch light without overwhelming the design. The guard is compact and flush-fitting, maintaining the streamlined silhouette that defines this style of sword.

The saya is constructed from hardwood and fully wrapped in black leather featuring a fine crosshatch texture across its entire surface. A black sageo cord is tied at the kurikata in a traditional bow, and a small metal buckle detail adds a functional touch. The leather covering gives the scabbard a distinctly different feel from lacquered wood, lending a tactile, utilitarian quality to the piece.

At 40.5 inches in overall length and weighing 4.5 lbs, this Ninja Sword has genuine heft and presence. The full tang blade runs through the entire handle, and the all-black color scheme - from saya to tsuka to sageo - creates a cohesive, striking display piece for collectors drawn to the ninjato form.

It's a beautiful 20inch blade 8.5 inch Handle. Feels light in the hands. Can swing around one handed if chose to. Good blade steel and the Scabbard fits snug with the blade. Straps work as you would expect. All around good fighting Ninjato. Highly recommend.
