Product Details

This ninjato features a 28.5-inch straight blade forged from 1045 carbon steel, heat-treated to 58 HRC. The steel delivers a clean, silvery finish across the entire length, terminating in a distinctive chisel-point kissaki that sets it apart from curved katana profiles. The edge is hand-finished along the full cutting surface, and the straight geometry gives the blade a direct, purposeful look rooted in shinobi tradition.

The 10.25-inch tsuka is wrapped entirely in black leather, providing a uniform dark texture from pommel to guard. There is no traditional ito cord or samegawa layer visible - the grip is a single continuous leather wrap that offers a secure hold and a streamlined silhouette. A black metal kashira caps the pommel end cleanly.

At the junction of blade and handle sits a silver-tone alloy guard with a flat, circular profile. This minimal tsuba keeps the transition between grip and steel almost seamless, reinforcing the ninjato's characteristically understated look. The metal tone contrasts subtly against the matte black of the handle and saya.

The 28.5-inch saya is built on a hardwood core wrapped in textured black leather that mimics a fine pebble-grain pattern. The surface is entirely matte with no lacquer or gloss, and a single black kurikata band encircles the body near the mouth. The koiguchi fitting is finished in black metal, matching the kashira and guard hardware for a cohesive monochrome palette. Browse more styles in our Full Tang Ninja Katana collection.

At 41 inches overall and 2 lbs, this ninjato balances reach with agility. The full tang construction ensures structural integrity from tip to pommel. Every component - steel, leather, alloy, hardwood - works within a strict black-and-silver color scheme that makes this piece a focused addition to any Black Sageo Ninjato display.

  • Forged from 1045 carbon steel with a straight-edged ninjato profile, heat-treated to 58 HRC hardness for a resilient, hand-finished edge on the 28.5-inch blade.
  • Full tang construction runs the entire 41-inch length, secured through a 10.25-inch tsuka wrapped in black leather for a firm, textured grip.
  • Black hardwood saya covered in textured leather with a clean, understated finish - no lacquer shine, just a matte black surface that complements the stealth-inspired design.
  • Silver-tone alloy guard sits flush between blade and handle, providing a minimal, guardless aesthetic true to traditional shinobi sword forms.
  • Overall weight of 2 lbs keeps the sword balanced and manageable, with a straight kissaki tip ground to a chisel-point geometry visible on the blade's terminus.

I give it 5 stars. I wish I had gotten one with the square guard on the blade. However I will buy another one not send this one back. It just seems more heavy duty than fancy. I'm talking fast shipping. Thanks tk.

Love this sword it’s really nice but it could be sharper considering they said it was battle ready but it’s not sharper than most my knives. But overall I love it and I’m really happy with my purchase. These blacksmiths really know what they are doing

The balance is incredible.
Watch out, it's razor sharp.
The only thing I would suggest is adding a proper care booklet with each blade.

This is an elegant design. I removed all of the fittings and the bolt that retains the blade in the handle. I believe that weapon smiths should legally be bound to sell their weapons unsharpened. Allow the client who purchase the weapon to sharpen it…sharpening infers intent. Intent is a crime. Don’t choose their intent for them. The ability to sharped a weapon properly show a level of skill…this denotes compassion. Many dull blades have killed…so there is no argument there. I have removed the edge on this weapon with a carbide dremel. I re tempered the steel and quenched it in pb blaster. I also injected black silicone instant gasket from the 99 cent store into the scabbard, filling the cavity completely and utterly. Inserted the hot blade into the scarab and put it in the freezer bound overnight. With the blade and scarab properly wedded, the design is complete. Great item…i love it!

Overall very happy with the product for the price. The blade is extremely sharp and well balanced but does have several superficial scuffs on the blade. I am sure they can be easily polished out. The blade itself does have a very slight warp to it, but as a display piece is not noticeable. Kudos to the company for fast shipping. I will definitely be purchasing from them again.

Quick shipping and the sword was exactly as advertised. There was mild pitting down one side of the blade, but I was able to clean it up with very minimal use of a polish and some elbow grease!
