The blade on this katana is forged from T10 carbon steel and hand-finished to reveal a genuine hamon - the wavy temper line visible along the chrome-polished nagasa that results from the differential hardening process. The full-tang construction ensures the steel runs uninterrupted through the entire handle, providing structural integrity that serious collectors expect. At 41 inches overall and 4 lbs, this is a substantial piece with a well-balanced feel in hand.

The tsuka is wrapped in black ray-skin (samegawa) beneath a tightly wound black cord ito in a traditional diamond pattern. Silver menuki hardware is seated beneath the wrap at two points along the handle, adding tactile grip definition and a subtle decorative contrast against the all-black cord.

Separating handle from blade is a gold-black tsuba bearing an ornate scroll design - rounded in profile with carved swirl (tomoe-style) cutouts and a raised gold rim edge. The fittings carry the gold-and-black colorway that ties the entire koshirae together visually.

The saya is crafted from hardwood finished in deep black piano lacquer, hand-painted with a full-body gold dragon coiling across the scabbard face. White cloud motifs at the lower saya add depth to the composition. A black sageo cord is knotted at the koiguchi, completing the traditional mounting detail.
