Kokushibo is Upper Moon One - the strongest demon under Muzan and the most powerful swordsman in the Kimetsu No Yaiba universe. He was born Tsugikuni Michikatsu, twin brother of Yoriichi, the creator of Sun Breathing. Where Yoriichi mastered the breath of the sun, Michikatsu chose immortality and became the first demon to use breathing techniques in his art. His Moon Breathing created crescent blade attacks that multiplied with each swing. After centuries as a demon, his Nichirin blade grew eyes - a physical manifestation of his transformation fused into the steel itself.
