Nice workmanship, but fits a little loose. I used to have an ‘actual’ officers sword, and it had a metal latch to keep the sword from falling out is the scabbard. Would be nice to see if you could replicate this. I would definitely buy such a sword: practical and pragmatic.

The blade is sharp enough to do some damage but not the sharpest, could cut through paper but not too easily. I like how the scabbard fits tightly over the blade without falling off even when held upside down. The blade comes well oiled as the type of steel is prone to rusting, so best avoid touching the blade with bare hands.
