This is a gift so I did not do anything more than check color and and over all construction. Did not remove plastic wrap. Looks good. Gave 4 stars because you did not send me an e-mail saying it was shipped so it sat at the front door for days because I was gone.

The wakizashi that I received was absolutely gorgeous! The blade, handle, scabbard, and every detail was second to none…oh and it’s sharp as heck too, so don’t go fooling around or you’ll be admiring one of these beautiful weapons from the emergency room. This is my second time ordering from TrueKatana and both times it has been a home run! Love it!

Everything is good and tight but the bottom of the handle is a little loose and the blade could be a little sharper, but overall I like it a lot and you get what you pay for so get something in mind for yourself if you want something better, but it's a different sword than the katana and shorter movements or easier to move. The handle is good and tight but there is a little gap on one side of the handle that looks rushed to be finished and also the bottom butt of the handle is loose. Over all I think it's great for what it's worth

The order arrived quickly. The weapon was beautiful. The scabbard holds the sword without slipping and the weight is just right. There was no rattle between the blade and the handle. I'm new to katana training, but even with my poor skill, I easily sliced through a water bottle. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Im very pleased with how my katana turned out, it's well made and I was excited to get it. It's now my most valued possession. I like the scabbard it came with aswell however the only problem with it is that there's no insulation on the inside or something to protect the blade from damage by pulling it out an putting it back in it but that would be it everything else is well made an I'm happy with the results.

Sword arrived in good condition. Was very happy with fit and finish. Overall impression was outstanding, but...
Medallions were both located over one end of each peg hole making removing of pegs impossible. Have sent email to customerservice. Tried to type in proper japanese terminology but spell check says no. Assuming this is resolved satisfactorily and promptly, I award you maximum stars. I would remind anyone reading this that how a company resolves the inevitable "ooops" is the true mark of its worth. Seriously, look forward to dealing with you in the future. And consider adding sword bags to your accessories line.

This is a decent sword. It's not quite as nice as some of the other blades I've ordered from TrueKatana but it's a fun little piece.
