We do love this tanto and shipping was great however there are just little things on the handle to not get a 5 star. (Still totally worth the money and a great piece) but you can see some tool marks on the handle and it should’ve been wrapped where 3 of the pins were not showing.

I like the fact it has a tight fit in the scabbard. I can practice with it and it wont fall out and I can get it razor sharp.

The first order a full-size katana was exceptional, I mean it was/is perfect. The craftsmen and artists who made it must be commended, beautiful work. The tanto sword not so much. The tsuka mountings, fuchi and kashira, extend above the tsuka-ito and make it uncomfortable to hold. The habaki fit to the saya was loose and the blade rattled in the saya but I was able to fix both. The sageo wrap on the saya was loose but I can tighten it myself. It appears the attention to fit was a bit off as was the quality control for that sword. But I understand we all have off days. At first glance the tanto looks good and when displayed with the katana as intended it will do.
On the upside dealing with TrueKatana was a pleasure! Thank you.

The craftsmanship on the tanto is great. The weight and balance are very good and it looks exactly as advertised. The only thing holding me back from a 5 star review is that the blade is not secured in the wooden sheath and will slide out from gravity. A good addition would be a piece that holds it securely in the sheath. Otherwise great quality and very much worth a purchase!
